Isn't she BeAuTiFuL??? She is and has a personality
that is just as gorgeous!!
This is Lucy and she's a gem even with her normally
straight, slightly coarse hair.
Here's how we took her from straight to silky,
bouncy, super natural looking waves.
We scored 2 different looks. And YOU can too with this simple but unique process. Here we go...
If you're starting with clean hair then you've got to dirty it up a bit. I used Kenra Firm Hold Mousse all over on dry hair. Then added Brocato's Rootfix from the scalp and up the hairshaft about 2 1/2". Love this stuff. It makes it rough without feeling hard or stiff. Then did a semi-rough blow out til the hair was comepletely dry again.
Starting with the nape, section the hair off into 2x2" sections. Pull the strands out and twist. Twist the strands back to the head and secure with roller set pins or hair pins.
Repeat until all the hair is twisted and secured except for the bang area. Make a barrel curl for a more soft wave on the bang. Secure in place. Lightly mist hair all over with a medium hold spray. You can now let the hair sit for 30 minutes or even sleep on it overnight. We put Lucy under the dryer for a quick set.
Now carefully remove the pins starting with the nape area again. As you pull them out, give a slight tug to each strand to soften the twist. Then turn the head over and with a little Morroccan Oil, lightly shake the twists loose. Flip back up and calm any crazy hairs. Add a few (and I mean a "few") polishing touches by placing bangs and spray. I used Brocato Moveable Hold.
Whadya think? She's got body and waves and no set pattern to look too fussy or structured. I especially love the way the ends stay very natural looking. Not too curled. Not too straight. Tons of body. Super carefree and bouncy.
Gor-ge-mous!!!
Then we swept it to the side and covered the elastic with a piece of Lucy's hair and Voila' - a whole new look.
Can you beat these fun, bouncy, unstructured waves???
What do YOU think, for real?? I know I love it.
