Inverted Ponytail

Here's another cute ponytail option for summer straight from my very own fashion diva.  My daughter had her hair in a low, loose ponytail and lifted the ends up and tucked it into the space between the elastic and the nape of the head. I think it turned out really cute. What do you think?

Trend Time!

Ok, so for a while I had been ready to lose my long locks but I think I'm past it now. ( Well, at least for a little while anyway. ) You know how it is, about the time your ready for the big chop; you wake up one morning and your hair has magically grown to a workable length.  So now I'm pretty excited to work these styles for the spring and summer.            I am LOVING this ponytail tie .  Isn't it cute and how easy will this be??  I'm thinking of all kinds of materials that can make this simple look go with all different kinds of outfits.   A leather strap, a sheer ribbon, satin ribbon (obvious choices) but what about tennie shoe ties for post workout?  Braided cording?  You've got an imagination, I'm sure you can come up with a bunch of ideas too.  You'll have to send some to me and let me see how creative you can be!!    jennyleighsblog@gmail.com So this look gets credit from ......... Calvin Klein.   Ok, so that wasn't that hard to figure o

Color and Subway giggles

So this morning I spent a little time learning about a fairly new Italian color line. It has won The Readers Choice award the last two years from a respected Salon industry magazine.  Chris was our design rep from JKS and he was very good. Not sure I'm ready to take the plunge yet but I'll def keep investigating it. I like what I saw but had to leave early so I didn't get to see the final wrap-up. I'm sure she (the model)  looked great. Being a Super Mom sometimes requires leaving things early in order to keep the title,  so that's what I did.  I stopped by Subway on my way home and was introduced to 3 cutie patootie's who were working. The giggles and customer service were in full force. A most enjoyable visit fo Sho . Then I walk in my home to see a VERY common site in my house. And one that I love immensely. Off to get my kiddos and it will have been a good day.   Hope yours has been good too!

Disaster to Diva's post

So excited. I did a super duper conditioning treatment on my hair last night and it looked and felt FaBuLoUs today!  I used Kenra Nourishing Masque on freshly shampooed hair.  I saturated all of my hair (scalp too) from base to the ends.  Left it for 15 minutes and rinsed it out.  Hairdressers are often like plumbers, they keep everybody else working and yet their own pipes are clogged up.  So it felt fantastic today for my hair to be so shiny and bouncy! I curled it on a 1" clipless wand and shook it out.  Now go check out the Before & After's page.  Just posted some that you have GOT to go see! Have you ever had any of your own "mess ups" with your hair??  Tell me about it.  I always love a good laugh!  LOL

"Layers with OOmph!"

Oh yea---you are gonna want these full, bouncy, swingy layers this summer!!!  And seriously, I would love to tell you how to get them but that's kind of MY  SECRET . Hairdresser-extraordinaire cannot reveal the sho-nuff techniques but I can say that if you live in Alabama I would love to set you up with some "Layers with OOmph!". If you happen to live elsewhere then ask your stylist for long, side graduated layers. Kaylan's hair was almost one length when we started.  She was gorgeous before  (YES, it's her natural color)  but this change was just what she was looking for, something different but keeping the length. Check out the back ( so LOVE the back )  Breezing off the edges looks so fresh. Need to spice up your long layers?  You've got to try this!! What do you think??? Here's a " Do-Over " aka Before & After   LOVE this girl and LOVE those "Layers with OOmph!"

Spring!!!!

Is it any wonder every spring fashion looks to color???!!!!!! These were taken by my man in our yard and they're pansies! They'll be gone soon and I'll replace them with my other oh so dependable flower, vinca.  I can count on these to bloom and look pretty no matter how horrible I am with plants. But their colors are soooo pretty.  It makes you want to put color on your body and be happy, doesn't it? Here's one more and then I think I will go shop with my kiddos and get them some fresh, colorful clothing to wear as we celebrate our risen Lord and Saviour! And just might have to pick me up something too - I said " might ". Good Friday to all PS thinking about revamping the ole blog here. Any suggestions on good sites to use??
